I'm not going to give you a sales pitch. I have posted article after article explaining the difference between bathtub painting and bathtub refinishing.
I may not know you, but that doesn't mean I don't care about you! If you have decided that you are going to paint your bathtub with epoxy then the least I can do is explain what you can do to safeguard your health.
Epoxy is a very strong smelling paint and the thinner that is mixed with the store brands is very dangerous. I know if you are reading this you may think I'm trying to scare you. I assure you that is not my intention. I just want you to be educated about the product. I believe any fight can be won with truth and education based on the truth.
If you are going to do this PLEASE read this: You must protect your lungs, throat and brain. You are going to be not only in the room with this product but you are going to be right down on top of this product as you work.
Please keep in mind even if you start and decide this is not for you. I will still honor my sale specials and use synthetic porcelain, not epoxy.
If you are going to use the d.i.y. epoxy paint. Please get a dual cartridge respirator. Not the white 'doctor mask' these are for dust but you need protection from fumes. If anyone in the home is pregnant or possibly pregnant PLEASE make sure they leave for 24 hours.
